A 40 year old man beat his ex-wife’s four-year-old son, Matheo to death after his ex wife, Yasmine, told him the child wasn't his. Jean-Charles Artaban killed the boy he thought was his son before decapitating him, feeding the head to dogs and then setting the remaining parts of his body on fire.
That was the scene that emergency services discovered upon arriving at Artaban’s house, after Yasmine had called them in a panicked voice to beg them to save her son.
Artaban had reportedly taken cannabis, called ‘zamal’ in the local creole dialect, on the evening of the horrible events which took place on Jean Robert Street in Beaulieu in Saint-Benoit, on 17th June 2013.
During Police interrogation after his arrest, Artaban said he didn't remember what happened that night. He said he remembered beating Yasmine after she told him Matheo wasn't his and he said he remembered she ran away and left the boy behind but that was all he remembered.
He was found guilty of murder, acts of torture, and barbarity and was sentenced to life imprisonment. This is the first time a life sentence has been handed down in the French island of Reunion, off the coast of Madagascar, since 2003.
According to psychiatric experts, Jean-Charles is incapable of "showing any regret or any empathy" and throughout the two-day trial he simply remained still and unmoved in the dock

Tupac's late mother Afeni Shakur ensured that his money & music was legally protected
The mother of hip hop legend,Tupac, Afeni Shakur, who passed away on Monday, ensured that his money and music was legally protected just in case there was any problem when she dies.
According to TMZ, she had already taken some smart steps to guard Tupac's music and financial legacy before her death. Afeni Shakuusband, Gust Davis, who recently took her to court in a bid to get a share of Tupac's money, a house and more, isn't mentioned in the trust. Hence, the money is 'untouchable' in the divorce case which was ongoing before her death.r had set up a trust to control all of Tupac's music rights and the paperwork is flawless. She had also named the former head of Warner Bros. records, Tom Whalley, to handle the legend's valuable catalog. The said Trust is reportedly very specific about heirs.

Photo: Man sets his wife ablaze for disobeying him
The Ogun state police command have arrested Keji Osunjirin pictured above for setting his wife, Fatimo, ablaze because she disobeyed him and attended a family party he had instructed her not to attend. Some neighbours said Keji had a quarell with his wife hours after she returned from the party.
He left the house and returned with a jerry can filled with petrol and allegedly poured the petrol on his wife and lit a match stick. When he realized his error, he rushed her to the hospital, unfortunately, Fatimo died from the burns she sustained from the incident.
Fatimo left behind a little girl.
When interrogated, Keji said he did not attack his wife with the petrol which he said was meant for their generator.
According to him, the jerry can caught fire in his hand and he unconsciously threw it at his wife. Keji will soon charged to court.

Modela Couture Report :'If I wasnt Fela's son, I would have gone farther than this'

The youngest son of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti and new father Seun Kuti tells City People mag about the limitations his dad's name has brought to his music career....
"I dont believe that being Fela's son has helped my career. Yes I am fela's son. Yes I grew up to love music through him. Most people believe it's easier looking in, when you are out. Everything just seems easier that way. But I keep saying that the fact that I am Fela's son, for me it didn't really help me musically. The fact that I am Fela's son has brought me more stress than good fortune. I believe if I wasn't Fela's son with my amount of talent and what I have been able to achieve, I would have gone far. What people see in Nigeria is 'Hey, he is just like his father. Who is seun? Oh, he is Fela's son' and that is it. They dont bother to look deep into what I am doing. I see them singing high praises of people here that for me, musically, I dont see what they are singing. What I am saying is Yes I am Fela's son but it still took me 10 years to get my record deal after his death.
Me I believe I have paid my dues. There was no Fela's name helping me get anything. My brother, Femi, won that lottery, I have to say. There was already one Kuti out there. It's like that with music families. There is only one person that is pushed by the name. The others have to strive. Being Fela's son, especially when you have a brother that is already out there, will make it difficult for you after him. What that does to you is that they listen, but before they listen, they have already set the standard so high. I am lucky that still with all the talk and comparisons all the time, I am still able to break my own barriers and we are doing our own thing. The band and I, and we have achieved great success. Since the first album, internationally, we have been able to close that chapter of people comparing us. They now know that we are our own force. Right now the band has made more money, played in more places than they ever did under my dad
